3390 scanner driver windows 7

I have an hp all-in-one. I got a new hp desktop w/ windows 7 64 bit installed. I can print now but not scan or FAX. I've checked the hp site and it is supposed to be compatible after installing a printer driver but I must be doing something wrong because it still doesn't recognize the scanner or maybe i'm not installing the right fix?
